2018 Future Directions Forum

2018 Forum Highlights

The Future Directions Forum (FDF) is an exciting two-day event based on Future Directions articles published in the Journal of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology (JCCAP). These articles provide readers with a window into the next few years of innovative mental health research. In particular, these articles seek to inspire early career trainees.

The 2018 FDF promises to deliver even more content and value than our inaugural 2017 FDF:
  • Conveniently located in Washington, DC, with clear views of the capitol building
  • View the FDF online and live via webcast or on-demand following the event
  • Multiple professional development workshops tailored to all levels of training such as graduate student, post-doctoral, and early career faculty
  • Live speed-mentoring available for personalized feedback on research
  • Future Directions addresses delivered by world-renowned leaders in assessment, sleep, stigma, and treatment research

Day 1: June 15, 2018

From in-depth workshops about various aspects of academic work to one-on-one speed mentoring with experienced officials at nearby federal agencies (i.e., NIH, NSF, IES), attendees have a menu of options on Day 1 for professional development training.
